I was back in London with my favourite fellow traveler for 2 days in August and we made the most of it ! This article is about Paddington which is located within the City of Westminster. I haven’t discovered all the secrets of this area yet but i managed to go to places i really wanted to go to. I will probably complete this article when i will get the chance to go back and make more discoveries !
London is a city i love exploring. Each time i’m in the UK i take at least one full day to explore places i have never been to. This time i chose to take the Metropolitan line until Warwick Avenue Station. I obviously came there to see where the singer Duffy broke up with her guy ! I’m sure you know her song “Warwick Avenue“, if not, do listen to it as it is a nice song !
From the tube station we walked down the street to arrive in Little Venice. Little Venice is a quiet area made with canals. There are many beautiful boats on these canals and some of them are cafés. It seems to be a very nice place to have a drink and enjoy the view, especially in summer. Little Venice is somehow smaller than I imagined. It is quite nice to walk down the canal and see all the boats. The area is nice and quiet compared to the famous touristic parts of London. We walked around the place for a while and headed to Paddington Station as i had never seen it before.
Next to Paddington Station is located one of my favourite street in London. It is quite amusing to find this little street in the middle of London a bit hidden and far from the madding crowd. Why do i love it ? Firstly, because it is an old street made with cobblestones. I also love this street because of the small colourful houses. I just find the street cute and joyful because of all these colours. This kind of little houses are called mews. There were stables converted now in flats. The streets take their names from this kind of houses. This one is called Conduit mews and i really recommend you to see it if you ever get the chance.
